Future of Hollywood Headshots: Chonacas Mints the First Actor Headshots on the Blockchain
Katie Chonacas is leading by way of example in the release of her Actor Headshots as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), the first in the blockchain and web3 community. She hopes to inspire other actors to put their actor headshots on the blockchain and create their own content in order to empower themselves as sovereign beings and for future generations. These NFTs will be available on multiple marketplaces and cryptocurrencies, Ethereum and Bitcoin to start.
“I want to introduce artists to a community that can help them empower, grow and succeed,” she said. Chonacas hopes to pave a new way for actors to create and interact with their fans, by introducing them to web3 technology.
As an actor, she made her television debut on CBS’s CSI: NY, Cold Case, FX Network’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Law & Order SVU to name a few. She appeared in films such as “A Perfect Getaway” with Milla Jovovich and Steve Zhan, “The Code” with Morgan Freeman and Antonio Banderas, as well as a sensual scene with Nicolas Cage in Werner Herzog’s “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans”.
