A Lover’s Fairytale Poetry Book
When I was around 11, I wrote my first piece titled “the Oddball” I knew I was the ODDBALL and I was more than OK with it. It was an early HIT to know a knowing, that I was unique-spirited-gifted-connected to the greats.
For example, growing up Greek Orthodox Christian, gifted me the language, culture, poets, spirited beings to look up to and befriend through reading Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. In addition, to all of the wonderful Greek Myths and stunning colourful unknown stories that piqued my interest entirely.
I love to travel, seeing the world, exploring, writing while in nirvana, untainted by other human thoughts and or circumstances. During the pandemic, my birthday was approaching, normally I would entertain my spirit with curiosity, “where is one place I have never been that I want to go to”? as if I was a kid in a candy store, picking a place, like winning the lottery of some sort and or going to TKTS, 15 minutes before a broadway show would start and get the tickets half off for a deal, SCORE! :) These kinds of silly things make me happy.
Well, I shifted my self-reflection to since I am not going on a plane to fly anywhere, “what is one thing I have always wanted to do that I have not done yet”? and I thought “I’ve always wanted to be a published poet”. I did it!!! November 11th, 2020 was my birthday, I gave myself a…
